Weekday Morning Routine

My alarm is set for 6:45am but more often than not Heidi wakes us up around 6ish – on a good day. I think I set my alarm hoping that we get a ‘lie in’ until 6:45.

After she has had a 5 minute cuddle with mummy and daddy in bed we drag ourselves to the bathroom were I give her a quick wash, she has a bath most nights.

Spring essentials: toddler girl haul

I recently bought a few little Spring essential bits for my daughter and thought I would share them with you. I love nothing more than a bargain and found a few below.

Heidi is coming up to 17 months now and her hair is at that stage were it's not long enough to put in a bobble but just looks a tiny bit untidy. I found these little Spring coloured clips from Claire's accessories and knew they would be perfect to clip her unruly fringe out the way. The slides were £3.50 and then the tiny clips were buy one get one free so I paid £1.50 for them both, bargain.

Spaghetti Bol Recipe

This is my version of a healthy homemade Spag Bol. I currently follow slimming world and this has zero syns - bonus.

Ingredients

  • Asda Lean Mince Beef
  • Asda Passata
  • Asda Dry Spaghetti
  • Bolognese Pasta Seasoning
  • Frylight

The first thing I do is fill a pan with cold water and bring it to the boil. I then add my dry spaghetti to start cooking, once this is cooking I take my frying pan and spray in a little frylight and add my minced beef. Once this has browned I add my Passata and bolognese seasoning and let it simmer.

Then its time to drain my pasta and plate it up, nom nom time to stuff my face with this quick and easy healthy Spag Bol recipe.

If you recreate this recipe I would love to see how yours looks, tweet me your pictures at @themummydiarie3

My top 5 Valentine's gift for every women

For valentine's day in our house we don't go over the top but we do mark it with a little token present and a personalised card. Its nice to acknowledge  the day and not let it pass by because who doesn't like to be reminded how loved they are.

I am going to include my top 5 gifts I think any women would enjoy with different price ranges because everyone has a different budget.

Firstly would be this lovely Bangle from Alex and Ani. I have fallen in love with this brand and is the perfect jewellery piece to start your stacker bangle collection.

Alex And Ani Because I Love you Charm Bangle £24.00, simply jewels

For perfume I would highly recommend  Viktor & Rolf flowerbomb. This is one of my top perfumes and also a favourite of many of my friends. As described on the John Lewis website "It explodes in a bouquet of sensations with its addictive floral notes which leave their trail, like a whirlwind that's distinctly couture."

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfume 50ml £68.50, John Lewis

Now we come to my favourite valentines gift, chocolates. Every year without fail i receive a box of Ferrero Rocher collection chocolates and I absolutely love them. I dont know many people who don't enjoy the odd ferrero rocher but the only problem is you cant stop at one!

Ferrero Rocher Collection Chocolates £8.00, Asda

Something a bit different for the blogger in your life or anyone who likes to keep a diary, the one line a day 5 year diary would be perfect. Even if you don't fill it in every day because not everyone remembers but it's something i know i would enjoy filling in and looking back on in a few years.

One line a day: 5 year Diary £9.59, Amazon

And finally the classic and traditional, flowers. Who doesn't love a bunch of roses delivered on valentine's day. Many women I speak to say they don't like flowers, they are a waste of money and I have been known to say the same myself but secretly love to receive flowers.

Heavenly Red Rose Hand Tied Bouquet 12 stem £39.99, Interflora

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines day x
