Weekday Morning Routine

My alarm is set for 6:45am but more often than not Heidi wakes us up around 6ish – on a good day. I think I set my alarm hoping that we get a ‘lie in’ until 6:45.

After she has had a 5 minute cuddle with mummy and daddy in bed we drag ourselves to the bathroom were I give her a quick wash, she has a bath most nights.

Then it’s time for Daddy to get ready so we go in to Heidi’s bedroom to pick out her clothes for the day. Sometimes dressing Heidi can be a bit of a struggle so I put peppa pig on the telly to keep her occupied.

Once she is already daddy takes her downstairs while I start getting ready, this is my little bit of me time for half an hour to get ready in peace.

She always drinks a bottle of milk while watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse and then has ready brek, especially in these cold mornings.

Once I am ready I start making lunches for myself and Keith to take to work. Then we all sit down for 10 minutes and have a little play before setting off for Nursery & work. We usually leave the house around 7:45 and luckily enough Heidi’s nursery is on my work site so it makes it so much easier.

She is getting so independent now and wants to walk from the car park to nursery but I always make sure she holds my hand as the car park is so busy of a morning. So off she goes with her back pack on in to nursery ready to play with all her friends and she loves it, sometimes I don’t even get a wave goodbye.

If you would like to see an evening routine then please let me know.

    1. I like to be prepared especially with having to be ready for work. It was lucky I actually got her to wear the hat normally she pulls it off straight away haha

  3. Aaaah, she's so cute!! That's great for you that she goes into nursery with no crying (we aren't quite at that point yet...!) And what is it with children hating getting dressed??! If we don't have to be out of the house by a certain time, I put off getting mine dressed, because they will shout, scream, start trying to take the clothes off once I put them on.... I dread it!! It sounds like you've got a good routine going! We also 'hope' that we'll get a lay in one morning, it never happens...! Thanks for sharing with #bigpinklink!
