Our day out at.... Mattel Play Liverpool

While we were off on a weeks Holiday we decided to take Heidi to different places that we think she would enjoy and make her week off fun.

Mattel Play Liverpool has only been open a couple of months and had seen it advertised over facebook, twitter and local news and knew if would be something Heidi would enjoy. She has an obsession with Thomas the tank engine at the moment and its all we seem to watch.

Its set in the Albert Dock which is a lovely setting on its own and Heidi enjoyed looking at the boats on the Mersey while she was there so its like 2 days out in 1, bonus!

We booked our tickets online and its £11 per children and £4 per adult but I really should of paid the parent & toddler deal which is £10  but missed it which was a bit of a bummer but hey ho! Heidi fell asleep on our way there, which you can see on our vlog, so she was a bit grumpy when we first got there. We didn't get to see the Fireman Sam and Bob the builder floors because she was so grumpy. As soon as she seen Thomas her little face was a picture and she had the most fun.

To see how excited Heidi was then please check out our Vlog of the day.

They do a lot of Party packages which I will be looking in to for Heidi. I would highly recommend it to anyone who have small children because there is so much to do and keeps them entertained for a couple of hours we will definitely be back very soon.

Have you been to Mattel Play Liverpool? If you have I would love to hear your experience.

Breakout Liverpool Review

Since I was a child I loved watching the crystal maze and always fancied having a go, I mean who didn't? When I seen Breakout Liverpool all over Facebook I got a bit excited and thought now is the time I have been waiting for to do my version of the crystal maze. Then I was given the chance by Breakout Liverpool to try one of there rooms with my friends. We studied the different rooms and finally picked Facility,

"You arrive at an unknown location for a once in a lifetime opportunity; a conference held by the critically acclaimed, Dr. Andrews. His work is widely known throughout the research circles, but he has remained hidden in the shadows for years. What you don’t know, is that Dr. Andrews has gone mad, creating a string of tests that have gone disastrously wrong. He has brought you here for his final experiment. You have one hour to escape his maze of tricks and games, before a deadly virus kills you all"

When we arrived at Breakout Liverpool we still didn't know what to expect but I think that all adds to the overall experience, in my opinion not knowing anything about the room or how it works makes you work that bit harder to "Escape".

We were greeted by Sophie who went through how it works and explained all the rules etc. Then we entered the room. I don't really want to spoil it for anyone who wants to go in the future but what I will say is that it tests your mind and gets your brain working.

We managed to break out with 35 seconds to spare, phew! and our room was difficulty level 4/5. But there is one that is 5/5 and some over easier ones but I'm not sure how easy they are. I would recommend this to anyone and its a great alternative to a night out drinking if you are looking for something a bit different. We have already got our next one planned and really want to try all 6 rooms.

If you do decide to go I would love to see your pictures and how you got on, tweet me at @themummydiarie3

Everyday is Black Friday

As you know from previous blogs I love a bargain or a sale. Sometimes or most of the time I should say, I begrudge paying full price for items especially clothing because if you wait a few weeks it's more than likely going to end up in the sale. When I buy Heidi's clothes I always wait for the sales because no sooner she's in a size she's grown out of it and also with nursery I don't want to be spending a lot on her clothes.

I always think to myself why can't there be a website were all the sale items are in one place? That's when Everyday is Black Friday got in touch with me and told me about there website. It's sale items all in one place, yayyyy!

"Everyday is Black Friday is a unique deal finder personal project and a lifetime dream, arisen from the frustration of the current online shopping  process. Nowadays, shopping online is an extremely time consuming activity, especially if you want to make sure you'll get the best deal when you buy something"

To read in a bit more detail about

Just to show how easy the website is I will explain. So I have recently started power walking so wanted some new trainers. Firstly I went on to the website Everyday is Black Friday  and clicked on the menu to categories. This then brings up a list women's or men's so I picked women's and then Trainers because that's what I was after. That then brought up a list of all the trainers on there database that were in the sale and I found the perfect ones, as per below.

That will then direct you to the website of the product you want. And its that simple. So if you are after anything in particular and are like me and hate paying full price for items then have a look at this website first, you might just find your self a bargain.
